Sushi Zushi is an “upscale casual” 3-location chain local to San Antonio. Voted best sushi in San Antonio for 6 years in a row, they feature inventive signature rolls that pay homage to the local heritage, especially the robust Spurs culture and several other head-nods. They are one of a kind here, in that they actually have their own separate menu for special dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and even vegan!

It can be a real struggle finding a basic, down-home, no-frills burger and fries place when you’re gluten-free. You have some of our previously reviewed places that do gourmet/elevated burgers, but when you just want a quick bite what’s one to do? We’ve found the solution – Hat Creek Burger Company. For the purposes of our review, we visited the Live Oak Loop 1604 Location.

According to San Antonio’s Community Impact, owners of formerly-existing Mexican restaurant Sabor del Pueblo decided to close temporarily and re-open as Coffee & Culture Bakery in October 2022. What resulted from this drastic pivot is nothing short of inviting and tasty!
