Rancho Loma Vineyards – Coleman, TX

Date visited: 12/26/2020
Rancho Loma Vineyards (RLV) is the creative vision of 5 Texans who sought to shine a light on Texas’s little-known long history of winemaking, dating back to the first known vineyards planted by Franciscan priests in the 1650s, and create award-winning wines in the 21st century (source: RLV.wine).  Their wines have been lauded by experts from the San Francisco International Wine Competition, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo International Wine Competition, and more.

We’re back! And we’re here!

Hi Everybody!

Yes, you’ve found us (again?)!  We migrated over to a URL that follows old WordPress tradition (*.wordpress.com), which makes this site easier to remember.  We tried to make the *.home.blog thing work, but alas, it just wasn’t to be.

So anyway, this is our new home, and we hope we’ve recreated the original site well enough. 🙂  We plan to stick around here at this URL and be active again!

It goes without saying that the Coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic clipped our wings pretty effectively, starting in March.  Not only that, but a series of Life Hiccups occurred for both of us that made continuing this blog temporarily impossible.  Hopefully those are all sorted out now for both of us, and we can resume again!

And resume we shall.  The post-COVID19 world is quite a different one for sure, but we’re doing our best to get out and about as much as possible, even if it’s at a slightly tamer pace than before.  Going forward, we’ll do what we did before: review local/regional restaurants, wineries, and other review-worthy small businesses that deserve a shining spotlight.  The only difference is that the posts may not be quite as frequent as they had been pre-COVID19.  And of course we’re crossing our fingers that various venues and industries don’t have to endure another shutdown!

So come forth and celebrate with us as we move forward – we’d love to have you along on our journey! 🙂
